William Furlong of the City of Dublin Esquire maketh oath and saith he knew and was well acquainted with Sir William Gleadowe Newcomen Bart late of the City of Dublin deceased and with his usual manner of hand writing often seen him write and subscribe his name and having carefully viewed and perused & examined a Paper Writing hereunto annexed purporting to be a Codicil to the last Will and Testament of said deceased beginning August 16th 1806 a further Codicil to my Will and ending in the whole one hundred and five pounds and subscribed W G Newcomen and deponent having also carefully viewed perused and examined another paper writing also hereunto annexed purporting to be a further Codicil to said Will beginning I mean the above Sums and ending one hundred and forty pounds and subscribed - W G N CO and having also carefully viewed perused and examined another Paper hereunto annexed purporting to be a further Codicil thereto beginning I leave and bequeath and ending our Lord Jesus Christ and subscribed W G Newcomen. Saith the whole Body Series and Contents of the said three several Papers Writing and every Word Letter and figure therein contained beginning and ending as aforesaid and the Signature thereto were all of the proper handwriting of the said deceased to the best of the deponents Judgment and belief. The last Will and Testament and four Codicils of Sir William Gleadowe Newcomen of the City of Dublin Baronet deceased having and so forth were proved in Common form of Law and Probate Granted by the [Most] Reverend Father in God William & so forth to Sir Thomas Gleadowe Newcomen the sole Executor of the said Will he being first sworn personally saving & so forth dated the 2nd Octr One thousand Eight hundred and seven.
