The state of Alabama. Mobile County

To any sheriff of the state of Alabama Greeting

You are hereby commanded as before that of the good and chattels, lands and tenements of Isiah C Sister, and of William Crawford, Julian E Inivyer [?], and Ptolemy J. Harris re [?] on writ of error Bind and of Robert F. Hagard the security of said Sister and Crawford on a [??] bond if to be found in your county Your [?] to do made the sum of Twenty two hundred and eighty four 07/100 dollars and the further sum of Two hundred and Twenty eight 40/100 dollars tenper cent damages thereon awarded by our Supreme Court which the President Directors and company of the Bank of Mobile lately in our county court affirmed by our Supreme Court hath received against them, for damages, Also the sum of Seventeen 12/100 dollars with to the President Directors and Company in the same court may accessed for costs in trial behalf expended, whereof the said Isiah P. William , Julien E. Ptolmy I and Robert F. are connected, as appears to [?] of Records; amnd that you have the said sums before the Incssr of our said Court on the second Monday of June A.D. 1846 to render unto the said President, Directors and company the amount of debt and costs aforesaid and have you then and there this writ.

thirty four 84/100 dollars including damages, and costs whereof in our said Circuit Court, they have received execution against that said Sister, Crawford, Sawyer and Harris and Hagard by vir tue of a Judgment in said Court, and that you have the said money [?] with this writ, before the Insp of our said Court on the second Monday of February A.D. 1846 to render unto the said President Directors and Company of the Bank of Mobile the amount of their debt and costs aforesaid.

William, Julien E., Ptolemy T and Robert F are convicted as appears to us of Record, and that you have the said sums before the [?] of our said Court, on the third Monday of February A.D. 1867 to render unto the said President DIrectors and Company the amount of debt and costs aforesaid and have you then and there this writ.

"Testimony of Francis Harwell"

Answer to 1st Inty. I answer that I was Deputy Sheriff under W.P. Spinks Sheriff of Washington County State of Alabama, in the month of June and July 1846.

Ansr to 2nd Inty. I answer that the property of William Crawford was taken by virtue of an execution in favor of the Bank of Mobile, and one in favor of E Shade, part in June or the first of July 1846.

Ansr to 3rd Inty. I took the property by virtue of the above named execution and no other.

Ans to 4 Inty. I think there were 22 negroes taken and 12 mules and one horse or man taken from the plantation of Miss Crawford, a list of which property I handed to Mr I.E. Sawyer, the balance of the property had been previously taken by other present.

Ansr to 5th Inty. I made no returns on the executing but handed them to Sheriff Spinks, and told him about what I had done, to wit - that I had taken the property the 23 slaves and 12 mules and mare by virtue of the execution in favor of the Mobile Bank, and the one in favor of E Slade.

Answer to 6th Int. I made no return on the Branch
