it marked (A)and contains a full and first statement
of all moneys received by Respondant out of all claims
Bonds, Notes or accounts of or belonging to the joint Stock of
McLaughlin Read & Simpson which came to his hands or possession
at or since the time James Douglass ceased to act as agent
or receiver and how that money has been applied, which Respondant
begs may be taken as a part of his answer to Complainant's Bill.
In answer to Complainants Second Interrogatory Exhibit B is
a correct copy thaken from the original Book kept by James
Douglass whilst acting agent for the firms shewing Shewing
X a full statement of all moneys received and paid out by
him during the period of his agency and which he accounted
for and with to Complainant, at the time he declared the
agency. And when Complainant urged on him a longer
continuance, which exhibit Respondant asked to be taken as a part
of his answer to Complainants Bill. Exhibit (A) contains
a full answer to Complainants third Interrogatory. In Answer
to Complainant's fourth Interrogatory Exhibit (C) Contains a full
Answer. It is a copy of the original articles in the handwriting
of Complainant which exhibit Respondant asks to be taken
as a part of his answer to Complainants Bill. Exhibit (D)
contains a full answer to Complainants fifth Interrogatory
it is a copy of the orifinal instrument of appointing James
Douglass agent signed by Complainant & Respondant, it will
show when the agency commenced there was no limited time for it
to end which Respondant asks to be taken as a part of his
answer to Complainants Bill. Sixth Interrogatory is fully answered
by Exhibit *B) In aswer to Complainants Seventh Interrogatory
Respondant has admitted and stated in a previous part of
his answer to Complainants Bill, how and what manner
he become possessed of the Books, Bonds, Notes, accounts ect
At the time Douglas declined the agency Respondant admits
that Complainant did make a great many propositions
and shewed great anxiety to get possession of the Books
Notes and ccounts etc of the firm. when he found Douglass
