A Honest Negro. We reported, yesterday, the fact of the acquittal of Pierce Stephens, a colored man, charged with the murder of young Carmichael, on Christmas, 1865. We were informed yesterday, by one of the bailiffs of the Court, that a short time subsequent to his acquittal, Pierce told him (the bailiff) in the Court House, that he (Pierce) was present at the time of the murder of young Carmichael, and knew who killed him! Is there no law to reach this man now?
