A Fancy negro from Huntsville, Alabama, reached the city some days ago, and after figuring largely around town for several days, the state of his finances necessitated the pawning of a lady's elegant silk velvet cloak, worth $100, which he had in his possession. The transactions took place with a negro man here for the sum of $15, but Capt. Ed. Murphy, thinking there was something wrong, took charge of the cloak and gave the negro his $15, whereupon a dispatch came from Huntsville to arrest the fancy chap, he being a notorious rascal. His arrest was effected, and the gentleman from Huntsville remains a guest of the city.
