as follows, to the Hon [Honorable] Mayor and Alderman
of the City of Nacogdoches.
The undersigned Com [Committee] to whom was
referred the matter of conferring with lot
holders on the Whitaker road west of the Bayou
Banito with a view of determining the futur [future]
position of said road or street through the
Corporation would respectfully report that
they have had the same under consideration,
and would recommend to the Corporation
that said Whitaker road remain as if [cut off]
now located [?] runs over good ground
better in fact than on either side of it.

They would also report favorable
upon the Petition of James R. Arnold and
recommend that a little be made to him
as asked for in his petition. The field hose [house]
of which accompany report.

Field notes of a survey of a lot of ground
for James R. Arnold. Beginning on the
south by line of lot no [number] 71 belonging
to Charles S. Taylor at a stake on the east side
of the Whitaker road. Thence N. 87, E 44 var [varas]
to the S.E. corner of said lot and S.W. corner
of lot no [number] 69 also belonging to said Taylor,
and at 194 varas set stake on the west bank
of the Bayou Banito, from which a chimcapin
5 inch bears S. 83 1/2 W. 2 varas dist [distance] a sweet.
Thence down said Bayou by its general Com [Committee].
S. 3. E, 150 varas set stake on the Bank of
[cut off]
