By Laws
Name and Meeting.
Sec 1. This Lodge shall be known as Nacogdoches
Union Lodge. No 1. East of the Independent Order of
Good Samaritans and Daughters of Samarin.
Sec. 2 The Stated meetings of this Lodge shall be
the first Wednesday night after the full moon in each
month, the hours of meeting for the months of November,
December, January and February shall be 7 O'clock
P. M; For March, April, September [&] October 7· [illegible] O'Clock
P. M. For May, June, July & August 7. O'Clock. P. M.
Sec 3. No degree can be conferred in this Lodge until
paid for, and not then, unless the applicant be clear
[password] quarter.
Sec. 4. Any member who shall [illegible] upon on
otherwise soil the Lodge Carpet or other Lodge
property shall be subject to a fine of fifty cents
for each offense.
Sec 5. The Host or the Hostess shall entitled
to fifty Cents per meeting for the due and [proper]
performance of the duties prescribed by our constitution
Sec 6. All By-laws [hitherto] passed by the Lodge
are hereby declared repealed from the first day of
October and one thousand eight hundred and fifty sin

On motion Five 57/100 Dollars. Percentage to Grand
Lodge on our receipts for the past term were appropriate
and the proper warrant on the General Lodge Fund or-
dered to be [illegible] therefor.

An acct of J. D. Muckleroy $16.00 for a Box of candles
was presented and referred to Finance Committee.

Bro Wm. Clark presented a resignation of his mem-
bership on motion laid over until next stated meeting.

The Financial officers announced no collection since last meeting
