Adjourned regular December session of
the City Council of the City of Nacogdoches
at the City Hall 3.30 12 m. Dec - 1911
Mayor Mathews presiding, aldermen
Blound, Dreary, Swiff, Spadly and
McKinney being presented.
A communication from the Mayor regarding
the firing of salaries for the evening
year was read by the Sec. in which
some material reductions were [c]ommended.
The Marshalls salary came up first for
consideration and after some discussion
it was decided that the salary could
not be charged during the previous incumbent term
On motion by Spadley duly seconds
by Blound and earns all salaries
for the evening gran were placed as
the [illegible] figure as that of the previous year
I.L Steen [illegible] Jim Chief, addressed the
body with reference to the proposed
automotive fire alarm system used
recommended the Gamewell System as being
the standard recognized by the national
Board of Confederates -
On motion by Blound, duly seconds by
Swiff and corrected it was ordered that
are adequate fire alarm system be installed
at the very earliest date.
Chief Stinderan advised that he wanted
get into communication with the agent for
the Gamewell System and have him come
to Nacogdoches and make a estimate of
to cost of [illegible]
On motion the following arraing was approved
for payment: Dr A A Nelson $59.40.
On motion duly seconded and corrected,
the 5.00 per month [illegible] allowed per Murphy
for [illegible] [illegible] was discontinued for the [illegible]
On motion the body adjourned
