Dear Pa I will try once more to write to you, this is the third time I have commenced writing to you, but every time something would come up to prevent my finishing the letter it happens that every time I think of writing, Henry wants me to go somewhere with him. we went after Chinhapin [Chinquapin] the other day, I dont rem ember exactly what day it was, but one thing I remember very distinctly, that it rained mighty hard. we started directly after dinner. rode about four miles without finding any at all we were just about giving up the hunt when we came to a large patch of land. I never said [seen] them grow like they do here. the bushes are so low that we had to stoop to pick them and they are always in large patches they grow on trees also. But not of sort
