The aircraft failed to return to its base and all the crew including Flight Sergant Milner were classified as missing. Later, when our Armies advanced in the Western Desert, a grave containing six bodies and with the identity discs of one of the crew on the Cross over the grave, was found at Martuba Landing ground. In consequence Flight Sergeant Milner was reclassified to missing believed killed in action. After the cessation of hostilities the War Graves service located the grave and all the Bodies including that of Flight Sergeant Milner were re-interred in the Cemetery at Acroma, North Africa.
