Group, where he was attached to the Central Flying School, on a Flying Instructors Course. Between October 1941 and January 1942 he was attached to No. 23 Operational Training Unit, Pershore and No. 12 Operational Training Unit, where at the latter unit he was engaged on instructor duties. Finally he was posted to No. 103 (B) Squadron, Elsham Wolds, on September 28th, 1942.

Flight Lieutenant Parker was a member of the crew of a Halifax bomber which took off on October 15th for the target of (town redacted) in Germany, and failed to return to base. German reports later confirmed that the missing aircraft crashed at (location redacted) all the crew, including Flight Lieutenant Parker losing their lives. Flight Lieutenant Parker was buried in the Military Cemetery, South (was Colgone) Cologne, and was later re-interred in the British Military Cemetery, Rheinberg.
