1850 Jany 25 cutting in New ground
cloudy & warm & like for Rain —

26. cutting & prizing Lugs cloudy & warm

27 Rained all night ground very wet,

28 striped tobacco in new Barn
cloudy & like for Rain —warm

29. Finished cutting big growth to day

30. Burning Plant Bed above Houseboth days cutting 30 & 31

31 began to Burn Plant Bed above
House On Branch Large
weather moderate cloudy & like for Rain

Friday 1st Feby 1850. Finished Big Plant Bed
above House & fixed for another at new
ground & Saturday 2nd Burnt & sewed it

2nd nearly all & it beganwe did not finish to rain & so

3 clear & windy & cold ——

4 Halled wood waggon & cart
Began to mall Jane & Federick
Piling or stacking wood

5. Henry malling Balance Burning
another Plant Bed in new ground
clear & cold this day ——

6 Henry gone to Mr Nealy to Hall wood
Finishing Plant Bed at new ground
Malling etc - pretty morning

7 Halled wood waggon & cart
Fed & Jane malling

8 malled with 3 hands alse Breaking flax
yesterday & to, Piling wood & cover all our Plant
Beds 3 in all Burnt - cloudy & like for Rain

9 Striping Tobacco in new Barn Raining
nearly all day weather moderate.
