July 18, 1858 - July 24, 1858

18th Sunday July went to Sunday School only 3
Teachers & no scholars except 3 & Bro anderson &
myself thought it adviseable to brake it up
on acct of no Teachers & scholars — I went
to Mrs Hunt nobody at home Aunt Peggy sick

19th cleaned mould off old prize Barn of
To Fired & dryed it & took it down in the
evening & Halled it to new prize Barn in
prizing order Sandy Plowing Tobacco Chumbly
prizing Turn out one Hhd & put another under
prize & got all out of Barn back of Garden
in Hhds Balance Hilling up Nannies Tobacco
& Greens etc Rained little in evening Henry
fixed Poles for Oat & wheat —

20th Rained a little last night & this morning
a rainy day cleaning mould off new
House Tobacco Barn in wheat Patch
& cleared out Granary ready for getting
up wheat - Mr Tucker came for me to go to House

21st Plowing Tobacco at Chumblys & Hilling up put up
1 stack wheat & 3 stacks Oats & then it rain 2 or 3
showers, in evening, & we took down all out
Tobacco to prize,-

22nd Sent Sandy to Faris Mill, & Rose to the
Jack She Said NO, prizing Tobacco & toping
over all we have & then plowing Tobacco & trying
get done prizing, working new ground Tobacco at Chumblys
Fine day & in Evening we got up smoothe head
wheat & expect to finish getting up Oats & Rye at Chumblys

23rd Finished Stacking Oats. Sent little Henry
to Mill, Turn of wheat this morning for to
eat & get Robins shoes changed this evening
Card 2 Bus. for overseer & get Rose a pair
of shoes nail on before - Rained about
the time we finished the Oats,- brot one of
wheat from fresh field,-

24th July Plowing Tobacco on branch & Hilling
Jordan gone to Mill Carrd 3 Turn 6 Bus Corn for me
& to get 1 Turn meal for us & 1 for overseer
