28 Hilling up fresh ground Tobacco
since we went to Lynchg & framing Top
of Tobacco House, look for my waggon
back to day made the trip in 3 days & a
little over very dry & Hot, nights cool
every thing burning up hear, [here]- Henry got
home time enough to Carry the waggon home
Sent Jenny home, this evening —

29th Plowing & Hilling up Lot Tobacco
To day - Dry & Hot this day — nights cool

30 Plowing & Hilling up Tobacco Sewed
Guano on Lot at this time —
Dry & Hot days very cool nights indeed.
every things looks like drying up, - Sent
Charles Allen to shop & he stayed all
day nearly sent little Henry in eveningafter
Bob worked here Tuesday & Wednesday of
this week gone all the balance somewhere

31st went to Lynch Johns Funeral & the Revrd Mr

, & a Poor sermon it was

Monday 1st Augt 1859. Mrs Hunt left for Bed=
ford
this morning, began to machine
Wheat at Aspen Grove, Clem & Jerry at work
in Lot Hilling up Tobacco - Hot & Dry at&
No Rain for a long time, nights cool

2nd Trying to Finish mach[in]ing wheat at aspen Grove
to day & get home before night finished

3rd Sent 2½ Bushels wheat to Farris s Mill this morning
Fixing down machine making Table etc
working our Lot Tobacco, not finished that
Dry & Hot very dry- corn nearly dryed upon high land
