July 24, 1860 - July 28, 1860

24th Bob Sick & Mrs Hunt Complaining
went down to aspen Grove Thrashing wheat
sent 4 hands & my Horses. did not get done
clem & charles at home Shrubing Corn Land
Plowed up Turnip Patch fine weather

25th Finishing Thrashing wheat at aspen Grove
Machine will go to Mrs Pannills to day
Hired Ben to go with it @ $8 pr month
Mr Wright came here to work on yard this
morning – fine weather this morning
I have got Lucy bot from Fannie & like
her very well to ride

26th machine at Mrs Pannills Mr Wright
here, Halling manure on Turnip
Patch this morning choping & hilling
up Tobacco Second time, next to
Whiteheads,- Jerry went to see Isaac overbyyesterday

27th Finished Thrashing at Mrs Pannills & got
to James McHaneys about 2 Oclock, had to
feed Horses & fix got out one stack this day

27. Machine at James McHaneys getting
out wheat Ben with it at home striping
Tobacco Mr Wright here fixing & work on
Railing. Mr Cothran met met me yesterday
to help fix down machine - cloudy & like
for Rain this morning machine went to John
Shields
from McHaney did not do any
thing at all

28th last evening a fine shower of rain
about 10 Oclock Mrs Coleman Sent for Nannie
I went with her got back about 1 oclock
quite unwell to day myself, gave Mrs Coleman
a dose of Calomel, went to Chumneys this
morning Sent to yates to have hischild coffin made
