29th We are toping our Tobacco this morning
Plowing & Hilling up our fresh ground
Mr Chumbly & Henry at work on Granary - I
am going to plantation, Nannie Sallie went
up to New Bethel yesterday got home about night

30th I went to CH. done nothing. yesterday
We are at work on our Granary Plowing
& Hilling up fresh ground Tobacco

31st I went to old place yesterday - at work
on Granary Hilling up our fresh ground
Tobacco cloudy & likely for Rain

August 1st Mr Wm L Pannill stayed here last night
Finished working fresh ground Tobacco to day
Plowing Lot & Hilling that up Finishing Covering
Granary this evening, Rained this morning –

2nd Mrs Hunt Came back yesterday & Bob this morning
Overseer & Bob making Doors Hinges etc finished
working Lot Tobacco at 12 oclock Henry brings
from aspen Grove to day 2 stacks fodder & 1 stack
oats in evening Carried Bull there, fodder & oats
is to sell, Claiborne & Henry down on Creek
choping on Ditches etc, -

3rd Thrashed out our wheat here got done
before night Top Tobacco on road. finished
making & Hanging doors to Granary, choping
in Tobacco on road working small plants

4th Sunday night Augt Patroled all night all of
us but Mr Adams from 6 till 3½ in morning

5. Mr Chumbly & Bob at work on Granary
Carried Machine to John Hodnetts, choping
out Tobacco on road Henry toping this evening

5. started machine out to Mr Jno Hodnetts Ben
with it Mr Chumbly & Bob at work on Granary
topping Tobacco finished choping out Tobacco
on road & went down on Creek –

6th finished Granary all down on Creek choping
Sent Smith to mill for overseer - fair day.
