19. Sent Smith to mill for overseer Halling
Corn yet off Creek, Rained again last night
Finished at Dark halling corn off Creek took
all the week, & done nothing else
20th I went to Court - this evening
21st began to sew Rye Halled up Pumpkins from
Creek & halled up Corn where we sowing Rye
22 Raining a little most all day fired Toba
cco Shelled corn & done not much
23rd. Hewing Logs for Corn House Jim
Shields here to get boars but got none
I went to old Place & aspen Grove. Turned
my Sow old one that I had put up to Kill
24th Sowing Rye Halling wood this morning
Cutting down for Rye
Began to Sew wheat this evening
25. Plowing on Creek to sew wheat sent
down to aspen Grove for Bull & Cow & Calf
getting Logs for Corn House,-
Genl Cabell & Mr Whittle stayed here all
night Electionering for the Senate of Va
26 Sowing wheat on Creek Riving boards
etc 28th Oct. John P. Hunts starts to school
to Kate S Moses @ $6 pr month Board ¬
Dug our Sweet Potatoes to day Plowing for
wheat on creek. I went to aspen Grove to get flax
29th. I went to Tan yard & Chalk Level, sewing
wheat on Creek, Halled up 1 Stack fodder from
Creek halled one Load Rocks for Corn House
gathered dryed Peas etc etc on Creek, Mr Overbys
children here Bob went after Hops to day
