1863 March 28th Raining again this morning
began to sew Oats again - Sent Henry to old placeto Roll Logs

29. March tolerable clear day stayed at Home

30- " Sewing Oats in fresh field next to Keens.
claiborne coltering in new ground Sent little
Henry again to Roll Logs. Grubbing cutting
stalks burning brush heap in corn field –

31st. Rained snowed etc last night this morning
Thrashing oats oats. mending or making
warping Bars I am going to old place to
get out vinegar for Mrs Keen –

april 1st. clear & windy Raised negro House got top on

" 2nd. clear & cool this morning halling wood
Winding oats Plowing & sowing oats to day 3 plows
I am going to McDaniels to see about Jerry a
pr of Boots, - ,

3 Sewing Oats to tho it rained this evening I went
to Yates got shoes nailed on Hester Yates found 1 shoe
went to Plantation C. Tuckers Buck Tuckers & Hodnetts etc

4th Sewed flax seed here & at Plantation Sewing oats
Halling out manure here malling etc – –
I went to Edge Hill, & expect to go this day the
5th To Green field to meeting.

6th. Stayed at home Mrs Hunt Mrs. Coleman & all
the children here Saturday Sunday & Monday

7. 8. 9. 10. Sewing Oats Plowing in new ground cut
& malled malled some sewed at 45 Bushels oats
here this spring weather moderate but cool.

14th. april - Halled up stack fodder off Branch at
home & one about 10 days ago breaking up
orchard Planted 2½ Bushels Sweet Potatoes
nearly coltering in new ground never will
get it done seems to me, Mr Bybee spayed
& Cut 4 shoats at Plantation & 2 Calves Turned
out 1 Sow & 1 Bull down there altered &
marked 3 shoats here to day. —
