for us 1 1/2 Bushels for Sam, morning Toping &
succoring Tobacco in fresh ground ---
Mose went away from here to night.
24 morning Succoring & Topping & finished fresh ground
last evening & went to Lot & finish that I fed Lam
& Ben went to Yates Mill & carried a good
Hart Log making 2 [thats] there 1 for Square edge
Plank then other for rafters 3 by 4 Inches
Brot Home the flour 238 [lbs] & Bran & Sams [Ropers]
25 I went to Sunday School fine growing weather
26 Mose come this morning & gone to work worming
succoring & Toping On Branch, to day clear morning
Mr Mattherley Brot my Machine home Saturday
night from [Jessee] Killeys only 1 Tine broke & 1 Screw
Since they Started has broke, since the machine
started the 10th July last -
27th Worming & succoring Tobacco this morning
my hand saw has gone strangely I thought
I lent it to Mr Mattherly & he Says he Brot it
back before he went off with the machine
[Sey] Marshall hire at work
28th Mose left or I dismissed him as he was not
much [out] in plantation Plowing lot Tobacco next
to old prize Barn & Hilling up & there came up a little
cloud to look at & I thought it would rain a shower
but such a rain I never see fall & washed my
[fence] away in few places thro my field & was over
all the flats of Tobacco on Branch & wash it
down & then the most thunder & lightening that
I ever Saw & my House leaked very much
29th Yesterday fixing fences on Branch & Bridges all day Sey helped ---
worming succoring Toping &C to day Sey here yet
cloudy & like for Rain not quite So Hot
30th Worming & succoring Tobacco on Branch [S?????]
& worked till friday night 4 days.
31st Worming & Succoring Tobacco to day in fresh
ground fair day -
