Tuesday, February 24, 1920
A rainy day. Ben & Owen went to George Blairs and got a load of hay. They got about wet unloading it. Jim cut until he got about wet. Henry went to school. We got no mail today. Evry one that would of carried was sick. Josie got dinner. I rinsed this evening. We both sewed on quilts. Tonight Ben & Henry went to Marvins and it is snowing. Most of us are nearly sick with coldes.

Wednesday, February 25, 1920
A colde day. The ground was covered in snow this morning. The boys here did no try to work out. Josie got dinner. I sowed on my quilt most of the time. I am not well. Hope I wont get any worse. Nat Wooding carried the mail today. I am very glad that he was able to go. I got a pair of shoes to day. Don't know yet who ordered them. Anyway I am glad of them. Nearly all of the children are complaining. I do hope that they will be better soon.

Thursday, February 26, 1920
A very colde day. Spit snow part of the time. Jim & Ben worked on their baskets all the morning. They went to Strait Stone this evening. I think they got very colde. Josie has done most all the work today. I have felt bad all day. I sowed on my quilt some. Carrie come a few minutes this evening. Marvin is here tonight. The children went to school.

Friday, February 27, 1920
A clear colde day. Jim worked on a basket. Ben & Marvin went to Gretna for Marvins car. He would not have it after going. They walked up there & most of the way back. Josie has done the most of the work today. I feel mighty bad tonight. I hope that Franklin is better. I had a letter from Effie Brumfield to day. I was glad that she wrote. Johnson Reynolds was here a few minutes today.

Saturday, February 28, 1920
A good day. Ben went to George Blairs and worked on his engine some then went to Renan. Jim got in a lot of wood and went to Renan. Josie washed some this morning. Killed & dressed a hen this evening and baked some pies. I done very little as usual. I finished a quilt the last that I expect to make this spring or ever maybe. I hope that the children are better off and will stay so for a while any way.
