Saturday, July 15, 1922

A good day. The boys topped
tobacco all morning. Jim
went to Chatham this evening.
Ben carried him to Gretna
I went as far as Coleman
Mayhews. Mathew Mayhew
buried this evening. Mr Barber
preached his funeral. There was
a big crowd at the burial.
I did not go to the grave. Carrie
and Marvin and four of the
children come and I come with
them home. They eat supper
with us. Mrs Trent went
home this evening. I was very
sorry to see her go. Grace
sent me some apples
by Ben. I was glad of them.
