Monday, July 17, 1922

A good day. Clouds about
but did not rain here.
Jim & Ben & Henry[?] suckered tobacco
all day. Marvin & Rose
Smith eat dinner with us.
I was glad to have them.
Mrs Booker came to see
us this evening. Mrs Car
churned and helped shell
butter beans & scraped
potatoes helped me get
dinner what she could.
I got cabbage & cymblings
and butter beans cucumber
& tomatoes & potatoes for
dinner. Hattie [Gillient?]
washed here today. Kate Harvey
come this morning. She brought
Henry two shirts & nice apples.
