Friday, July 28, 1922

A good day. A thunder-cloud
tonight not much rain yet.
The men worked in the tobacco.
Ben went to [Strait?] Stone
at twelve o'clock for ice.
Josie has not suffered
so much to day. Mrs Car
has bin very sick all day.
Mr Dews come by this
evening. He brought plums
& pears and apples. I was
glad of the apples. Lawson
Power come by to see
his Grandma & Josie. He was
on his way to Mr [Farrows?].
They are having a [crowd?]
there tonight.
Kate [Hanerey?]staid with Mr
Car last night.
