A clear day. Ben & Jim
stripped tobacco today.
I gathered some peas for
dinner. No one come
until late this evening.
Then Carrie & the children
and Nellie come. Carrie
did not stay but a
little while. Nellie will
stay a while.

Josie has suffered very
much today. Today is
Henry's birth day. He is
13 years old. I went
to the orchard and got
some apples. I guess a
hawk got one of my
chickens today. It is
missing any way.
