Saturday, June 9, 1923

A good day and clear and
dry. Oh how we need rain.
The men planted some
tobacco. I [sic] it can't live if
it don't rain soon.
Ray Booker played with
Franklin all evening. They
went in the garden and
pulled them an onion and
wanted to eat them. I
did not let Franklin.
Thought it might make him
sick. Mabel has not bin
so well today. Hope she
won't get sick.
I have bin very busy
today. Tried to sweep the
floor most all over
the house.
That is a job for me.
Lawson Emerson is coming
up here tonight to
go fishing.
