A good day. Jim and
Ben suckered tobacco
until twelve. Then they
went to the election.
Children and I went to
Kates a while. Got a
fraid it was going
to rain and Oscar
Brumfield brought us
home. There was the
biggest crowd at Renan
that I ever saw there
on election day.
John Ward and Henry
plowed some late
tobacco. They finished
in time for early
supper. Ben and Jim
has gone to Renan
to hear from the
election. Nellie boiled
some grapes for
jellie. I hope she
may have good [luck?].
