Thursday, August 16, 1923

A good day. The men
suckered tobacco all but
Ben. He helped Mr. Booker
work on his barn all
day. Franklin and Mabel
has bad colds.
Nellie got dinner.
I went to Maggies
for the first in a
long.[sic] Found them all
well. Come by Kates.
She was well.
Bill and Irvin went to
St. Andrews to preaching.
We Kate and I stoped in
at Dr. Owens a few
minutes. Mrs. Owen was
sorry for me and brought
me home. I was glad
to get home so easy
but if I could help
my self I would not
be any trouble or
expence to any one.
