Friday, September 7, 1923

A day that they could [sic]
most of the time. They cut
tobacco. Filled a house
and a little on another.
It is raining tonight.
Nellie washed some
today. I got dinner
and churned.
Mabel and I went to
barns and to the field
where the men was at
work. We caught a lot
of worms. Looks like they
will eat up the tobacco.
Mr Bookers hands helped
Jim and Ben this evening.
The people are so busy
that there is not passing
a round like [commols to be read common?]
Kate Harvey phoned that
we could get tomatoes
but the boys would
not go for them.
