Dear Mother:
Please forgive me for not writing sooner but a present we are relaxing and getting some liberty and I am making the most of it. I am feeling better than I have in months right now. I wish you would not ask when I am coming home again. A short time ago I thought that it would be soon but now I don't believe that it will be possible this year.
I am enclosing some pictures of the ship which I got out of a Birmingham Ala. paper. Please save it. Have not had any mail at all for the past few days. Guess that week-end trip you and Marian took slowed up your writing for a few days.
I don't have much else to say today. Have not heard from

any of the gang in sometime. I can tell you where I have been lately but it would only worry you and there is absolutely no reason for you to worry about me now.
Well it is getting late and I want to try and get a letter off to Marion too, tonight. I'll write again in the next day or two. Give my love to all.
Your loving son Georgie.
P.S. Recieved [sic] a birthday card from the M.M.M., please thank them.
