A. I think the first I knew of Mr. Aspinwall's
stock being sold was, when he informed me

A. No sir; but it seems to me from the con=
versation that I had with him that it
was not a great while before he came out
here, what year that was, I am not
able to fix but it must have been about
the year 1871: it was a good while
