A. Here it is; five million six
hundred and eighty-eight thousand
eight hundred and eighty-eight
dollars and eighty-nine cents.

Q. 10. Now state how much land
they claimed would be come to them?

A. Two hundred and seventy-two thous=
and two hundred and thirteen thirty-
four one hundredths acres of land.

Q. 11. Was the amount claimed in the
Lambard case — which was threaten-
ed but not finally brought — less
or more than the amount claimed
in the Brannan suits?

A. Greater.

Q. 12. How much greater?

A. I dont[don't] remember, but I think
something over twenty millions of dollars.
