A. I dont[don't] remember now. I have
an indistinct remembrance of
some transaction that I had with
a woman about stock; but I
cannot remember her name now.

Q. 51. You dont[don't] know whether you
bought stock from her or
not?

A. I dont[don't] remember. I think
I acted as the Agent for Huntington
for buying some stock from a
lady that lived over here on the
point, looking off into the bay
there, in Chestnut Street. I
acted as his agent in buying
it.

Q. 52. Do you recollect what you
paid for that stock?

A. No sir; I do not. I paid
whatever he instructed me to pay.

Q. 53. What did you do with that
stock that you bought from her?

A. I dont[don't] remember what I did
with it. I suppose I sent it
to C. P. Huntington, because I
acted in the matter under his
instructions. But I dont[don't] think
I paid over par for it.
