A. I stated that there were 68,582
shares of the stock of the Central Pacific
Railroad Company of California, and
15,484 of Western Pacific stock.

Q. 496 Then, instead of part it being
Western Pacific stock, there would be
84,066 shares of the stock of the Central
Pacific Railroad Company, would there not?

A. There were 84,066 shares of the stock
of the Central Pacific Railroad Company,
after the other consolidation of June 23,
1870, made up by 68,582 shares of stock
from the Central Pacific Railroad
Company of California, and 15484 shares
from the Western Pacific Railroad Company.
