Dearest Edward

Your letter of July 8th came today
& I was very glad indeed to get it.
You are a splendid correspondent
& I am afraid you have found
me a very unsatisfactory one dear.

You see I am visiting in my mothers
house & in a town where I grew up
& after being away fifteen years
there are so many people coming to
see me that I have almost no
time to myself. My visit is nearly
over & I must start home within
the next 10 days sometime. I have
not set the day yet but must in a
day or two.

Jocelyn rode & I drove with a friend
& Aunt Eleanor & a cousin from Canada
Helen Panton out to a ranch near here
where we saw 3 buffalo, & had a
lovely drive all over the valley.
