Dear Edward,

I am trying to prepare for
the big examinations this week at
which as per custom about 20%
are flunked out. And in asmuch as
very bright people fail and terrible
boobs pass, I stake my chances on
the three fates who sit with open
scissors.

Besides I was inoculated yesterday
for typhoid parathyroid and smallpox.
Headache, chills, fever, sore throat — these
are the glories of war.

Just talked to Dr. Cory over the phone
and he asked for you. I told him
