when we try to speak of it -
I would not care very much for the Legion of
Honour you speak of - It is not a distinctly
military decoration but one for distinctions in
any art or science - It used to be said of it
like the measles - few escape it "
years ago - long before the war that it was

What you have won both [underlined] of them the Croix de
Guerre with Palm & the D.S.C. is much [underlined]
more desireable I think - no words can
express our joy and our delight over it
