Fox & Foster also missed
the train because Fox had
lost his pocket-book along
with his passport. They followed
on the night train.

We got in a car with some
Canadian soldiers and road
all day with them to Lyons.
Had quite a party on the train
with them. Stayed at the Hotel
Bordeaux in Lyons.

Saturday. August 4, '17.

Left Lyons on the seven
o'clock train on our way to
Annecy. Met a friend on the train
who recommended Aix les Bains
for a place to have a good time,
We found Krusi, Lane, &
McKinley. We all got off at
Aix les Bains. Went to the
Terminal Hotel & left our
baggage. Went swimming in
the lake and then returned
to the hotel where a fine
dinner was waiting for us.
After dinner wandered around
the town. Bought pipe. Went
for an auto drive. Went
swimming in the bathes.
