had passed, and gave
us a ride 9 kms. out
of town. We also treated
the chefeur to cigarettes.
When he left us he
told the traffic cop to
get us a ride to Fismes
as it was orders from
Reims, so we didn't
have to treat the trafic
cop to get service,
and anyway the cigarettes
were running low.
It was four o'clock
when we left the
centinals at Reims.
