Congregation B'nai Israel
Sacramento, February 28, 1900

The board met in the synagogue at 8 P.M.
Mr. Albert Elkus, president, presiding.
Roll call. Messrs. H. Weinstock, Sam Lavenson,
A. Bonheim and J. Auchel noted absent.
Minutes of previous meeting dispensed with reading.

The president stated that Mr. Greenburg had accepted
the call and that he does not yet the exact day
when he would come, that they were waiting for
the seats for the new synagogue, and he would
like to stay over until then providing it is not
an unreasonable time. The president was authorized
to allow hime to stay a reasonable time.

Mr. Geo Lavinson was elected a member of the
congregation.

Mrs. H. Dennery donated $5.00 to the congregation
to be applied to whatever the congregation sees fit.
It was ordered that the $5.00 should be kept as a
separate fund and vote of thanks tendered to Mrs. Dennery.

On motion it was ordered that a note of thanks
be tendered to Rev. Meil [Note] for able lecture given
on Friday evening the 16 inst.

The vice president reported that he sold a lot
in the cemetery to the Korn boys for 100.00, that they
paid on acct 20.00 and the 80.00 balance they
would pay before 3 months that Mr. Fisher stands
good for the amount. The actions of the vice
president was approved.

The treasurer was instructed to hold out $5.00
every month from Mr. M. Wilson to be credited to
him on acct of his dues until all dues
