Mon May 5th
Very changeable to day and some
of the time a right cold wind.
Lew went up to the ranch and
took up 2 colts for Messrs Bernards
one gray mare for George Owens
the two Bill Smokes colts Topsey
Sadie Sam Tipsey and Maud S.
I went to town this forenoon to meet
C V Howard and Free Thoman to talk
over ditch matters.

Tues May 6
Lovely all day after a quite
a frost. Dave and I hauled 9
loads of manure in the forenoon.
In the afternoon Dave went to
town. Plummer went with him
and I painted Lews cart and piled up
and burnt the raspberry bushes.
Lew plowed for corn on the windy
hill place.
