Sun July 27 Pretty nice but
rather warm.
Dave and Lew went to town.
Lew got home in time to help
at the chores. Mother had
quite an unpleasant night
last night with pain in
her stomach and feels rather
maugar yet the rest of me
kept Sunday.

Mon July 28 All kinds of
a day. Pretty warm generally and
rained a couple of little showers.
Lew went and got Mr Wrights
binder and we raised the old
scratch getting across the
ditch broke one casting and the
doubletree so Lew went to town
and got another casting and I made
a new doubletree then we started
up but evrything [everything] is rusty and dusty
and we didnt make much progress.
