Sat Feb 17 Clear still and a little warmer.
Frank went to town with me to day [today] and
I settled Mr Larimers account with
Mr Buffom and done some other errands
and was treated by Dr Wright and that
like the sting of a bee leaves a very
sensible whang after it.

Sun Feb 18 Some warmer to day
and most of the day quite windy.
Franks Folks went over to see Lew and Mary.
They think they will be quite cosy
when they get fixed up. Mother and I
lived all alone a while to day but had a
call from Messrs Charley and John Crane
who were in a quest of cows.

Mon Feb 19 Mostly clear but
pretty cold. Frank got a load of ice and
went to town this afternoon. Charlies
folks were here awhile this afternoon.
We talked tariff cattle hay etc. Let him have
60 lbs of beef $2.10 cts. I attended to
the cattle up at the windy hill place to day.

Tues Feb 20 Cold all day pretty near
zero weather and spit snow a little towards
night. Frank done the chores and went
over to town to see Miss Eddy but she did not
come to time. I still kept as
comfortable as I could and read Gen
Grants memoirs.
