Thurs July 19 It threatened some and
sprinkled a few spranks. John and George hoed
corn and potatoes. I hoed in the strawberry patch
and and bugged the potato patch North of the
pigpen and this afternoon Mother and I
went over to see Mr Markles folks and found
that they have a fine show for fruit. Then
we went to C V Howards and then to Mr
Cushions and then come home.

Fri July 20 Pretty good day.
Johny hoed corn and potatoes. George mowed
the piece North of the house. I had a fool
paint spell in the morning before
breakfast and that was all I done all day.

Sat July 21 Threatened a good
deal and rained a little. Johny plowed
out the piece of potatoes near the pig pen
and then raked up the hay north of
the house and helped shock awhile. George
and I finished the corn and potatoes south
of the orchard and the piece near the pig
pen and then we shocked hay and we got
done too.

Sun July 22 Mostly Clear but after
threatening rain awhile the wind just blowed a
gale for awhile. Johny and George went up to the
Spring Canion [Canyon] country to day [today] and I irrigated
on the oats at the windy place.
