Tues Oct 16 Fine again to day [today]. Johny and Marsh
got the corn all hauled. Got done about quitting
time. I fixed the corn shocks ready to haul this
forenoon and this afternoon I dug potatoes.

Wed Oct 17 Very nice again to day [today]. Johny
went up to his Mothers and brought down three
calves that I had bought of her. I fixed the ditch
so as to water the cattle up on the 10 acre piece
and then done some draining over on the
other side of the place where we want to turnpike
it and then went over to Charleys and got 4 pigs.

Thurs Oct 18 Some wind this morning
but nice this afternoon. Johny and I fixed the fence
so as to keep cattle out of the field down below
the potato patch. Then we went to town and brought
out 2,560 lbs of coal and done sundry other odd
jobs and got home just at chore time.

Friday Oct 19 Oh how nice and
warm to day [today]. We went up to windy hill and left
coal distributee [distributed] around for threshing and left
some down by the grain carrell [corral] then we
husked sweet corn for the pigs until
noon then dug potatoes in the afternoon.

Sat Oct 20 Not quite so pleasant but
pretty fair. We fixed the fence where it crosses
the big ditch and this afternoon we done
some odd jobs of plowing for covering the
raspberries and burying the apples and potatoes
and helped Marsh about cleaning up
his beans and we made some steps for the
west door of the grainery.
