4 inches of snow Dec 2

Sun Dec 2 Found about 4 inches of moist snow
on the ground this morning but to day [today] has been
quite comfortable and the snow has settled
lots. Mother and John went over to see Franks
folks. They report them all well and very
comfortably fixed. The Roberts boys came out and gave
me a check for 29 dollars [$29.00] 25 [$25.00] of it for pasture
and 4 [$4.00] for hay.

Mon Dec 3 Pretty sharp this
morning 2° deg above zero but it thawed some in
the middle of the day and got cold again towards
night. I went to town and paid Wm Helm 35 dolls [dollars] [$35.00]
and John Helm the ballance [balance] that I owed him
2.34/100 [$2.34] and Mr Herner 30 dollars [$30.00] and got some things
for the little biggy and some lime and a sack
of bran. John went to school.

Tues Dec 4 Clear and mostly still but
rather cool only in the middle of the day.
I started in to fix the little buggy and John
went to school.

Wed Dec 5 Clear and thawed
a little. I worked at the buggy again got the tires
set but have quite a lot to do yet to it.
Johny went to school.

Thurs Dec 6 Clear still and nice and
the snow is pretty much all gone. I went over
to town this morning to attend court but
they were all day engaged on another suit so
they did not reach the case that I was on.
John went to school.
