To the Hon J. M. Stone.

The undersigned citizens of 3rd District of Bolivar County respectfully. ask. that. Layfayette Jones. be appointed magistrate in this District under the recent act of the Legislature—authorizing an addition-al Justice of the peace in said Dis-trict—Mr Alex Yerger—who was appointed by your Excellency having declined to accept said—office—
