Horse & dray @ 12/- per day & 3 days Horse & dray to Jhis Colbert @ 12/- per day. Also stated that up to the present he had been unable to procure labor to repair DuBois Contract at Warrow. But he would again try to have the work done.

Councillor Morgan asked "That the overseer be instructed to report on West Main Rd between Lincoln & the end of District. Also asked that Gravel be placed in washout opposite Lake Wangary Hotel request granted.

Chairman asked that the overseer be instructed to report on Mail Road from Lincoln to Whites Flat & that Tenders be called for the worst portions along McFarlanes fence. Also stated that he would have road repaired near Baillies.

Councillor Laidlaw asked that the Clerk be instructed to write Depty Post Master General & Representative Poynton & ask that the steamer which leaves Wallaroo on Mondays for Pt Lincoln be authorized to carry mails as this was a most convenient mail for the people in this District.

Moved by the Chairman "That Clerk be paid extra 3/-/- for Road inspection 2nd by Cr Morgan. Carried

Tenders. Tenders were then opened & considered. Cont No 4. E Meers 3/-/- per chain J Daly 2/9/11 per chain Resolved that J Daly tender be accepted.

New Assessmnet Chairman stated that owing to a bill now before Parliament to obviate the necessity of making a new assessment, he considered it best to leave the matter over for the present.

Motion Moved by Cr Hall. "That the Council go into Committee to consider tenders for making the New Assessment 2nd by Cr Puckridge. Carried

Committee. The Council then dealt with tenders in Committee & resolved that same be held over for the present.

Appeals Resolved that appeal meeting be held on Saturday, September 16th at 3 oclock pm. & that notices of same be sent to Gazette & local papers & Copys of adopted assessment be sent to Post Office in each ward.

Resolved that the overseer be instructed to look up all unregistered dogs in the District.

Letter from Sec Vermin Bd Dist of Flinders asking "That owing to complaints of damage being done to sheep by domestic dogs. The Dist Council be requested to rigidly enforce the registration of all dogs, & see that the Act is strictly carried out. Meeting adjourned Date 16.9.16 J OShanahan Chairman
