Minutes of Council meeting held on June 19th 1920 Present Jas O'Shanahan in the chair Cr Morgan Simes, Hall & Puckridge. Apology from Cr McFarlane Minutes of Previous meeting read & Confirmed.

Financial Statement & Statement of works for each Ward during the past 12 months submitted & Read.

Elections There being no more than the required number nominated for Councillors & Auditor the following Gentlemen were duly declared elected. For Councillors R.M.McFarlane Lincoln Ward. O A.Hall Mortlock Ward W.G.Morgan Warrow Ward. For Auditor O Blackman Correspondence 1. Letter from Sec Local Gov Dept stating that no funds were available for Special Grant during the present financial year. 2. From same office stating that all Claims for works by Returned Soldiers must be in before the 30th June next. 3.Corporation Severence From same Office stating that the Gov does not give advice on Points of Law regarding the proposed severence. 4. Petition for Loan V Act Letter from Sec Lands re Petition received from A.L.Hill for Loan under the Vermin Act Pros Cr Hall. That the matter be left over till next meeting 2nd Cr Simes & Carried

Petition from J Venning & others asking Council to call Public meeting to protest against the proposed new Federal Tariff same to be referred back to Petitioners & State that Council as a body do not take any part in Political matters.

Letter from W Russell re bad state of Boston St & asked that same be repaired. O/S attending to same.

Cr Morgan drew attention to New Cemeteru at Coulta & asked that same be fixed up at once. Also requested that Meers be asked to proceed with Contract at Wangary (Gum Hill). Also asked for 15 to 20 Chns gravelling east of Lake Wangary. Cr Simes drew attention to contract done by I Hall at 2nd mile post. Tenders to be called, Also to Creek at Green Patch & asked that same be repaired. ALso asked that road to Pearlah siding be repaired.

Cr Hall drew attention to crab holes on west of Cums & asked that O/S inspect & report on same also holes in road east of Cum & asked that same be repaired. ALso asked that Cemetery at Cum be cleaned up.

Cr Puck stated that the Brimpton Lake road needed repairing. Tenders be called for next meeting. Also asked that road at Mt Hope have sign put on near the Railway Gate.

Cr O'Shan drew attention to the danger of motor traffic on North Rd & asked that Legal advice be obtained regarding Councils Control of roads.

Cr Simes asked that Daymen hbe put on to repair West Road between 6 & 7 mile post.

Dog Fees 5/- 2/6 Slaughtering 2/-/- & 10/- Licences Com 10/- Moved by Cr Simes That all Licences be same as last year 2nd Cr Morgan & Carried.
