Minutes of Council meeting held 20th March 1920

Finnancial statement submitted & read

Correspondence (1) Dog Discs Letter from secretary Local Government Department Stating That Messrs A. Simpson & Son were the successful tenderers for the supply of Dog Discs for the year commencing 1st July 1920 @ £9 - 12 -. per thousand & that the councils order shoud be given without delay.

(2) Wire netting from the Secry of Lands showing adjustment of Wire netting cheque for £769-19-6

(3)Road Louth Halls From Secry Lands referring to opening new road Hd Louth notice published in the gazette of 5th July 1920

(4) Motion to open Road Hd Louth (Halls) Moved by Cr McFarlane That whereas at a meeting duly held under the provisions of the " Road Act of 1884" this 20th day March 1920. It appears to us the District Council of Lincoln, that it is expedient and necessary that the lands hereinafter described should be opened as a new line of road and it having been proved to us that the notice required by the Said Act, has been duly given and that all other requirements thereof have been completed with and

and that no valid objection to the opening of such new line of road having been made Now therefore we hereby virtue of the powers given to us by the said Act, order that the lands comprised in about 11 chains of new road (one chain wide) in the hundred of Louth. County of Flinders as hereinafter generally described . (Viz) A deviation in Section 370 of the road dividing said Section from Section 379. as delineated colored RED, and numbered 1 in the Survey map deposited in the Surveyor Generals office at Adelaide. Plan No 21 folio 251 should be forthwith made and opened as a new line of Road. Seconded by Cr Puckridge & Carried

Name of Roll Letter from W. G. Phillips asking to have his name place on Assessment Book for Sect 156 Hd Lincoln also asked to have road leading to his place repaired

Cemetery at Lake Hamilton Letter from H C Wallaston Stating that he would proceed with the work of erecting fence around cemetery at Lake Hamilton as soon as convenient.

Timber Licence Letter from A. H. Ettridge asking for Particulars re Timber Licence. Reply sent.

Road Tumby Council Letter from Clerk Tumby District Council dated 8/3/20 asking Lincoln Council to bear half cost of grubbing road between sections 407/8/9 Hd Louth and Sections 153 & 154 Hd Hutchinson. Reply sent that this road was in the Tumby Dist, further letter received dated 15/3/20. Stating reasons why Lincoln Council should bear half the cost
