District Council of Lincoln Minutes of District Council meeting held 15th May 1926

Correspondence Secretary Lands. Notice received advising clerk it is intended to cancel section 26 Hd Shannon, held by E.J. Hosking, & Section 23 Hd Shannon, held by Mrs A.E. Roe

District Council Minippa Letter from the clerk, with further reference to conference of District Councils on Eyre Peninsula. Meeting suggested to be held at Port Lincoln, on Monday June 28th next.

Moved by Cr Hall that this Council be represented at the proposed conference. Clerk to ascertain if all members, or delegates from each Council will attend.

Local Govt.Department Schedule Main Roads Notice from Director Local Govt Dept, it is intended to declare the undermentionedRoads. Main Roads. Louth---Mortlock Road, Formerly Louth-Koppio Rd Mt. Dutton Bay---Coulta Road Lake Wangary---Mt Dutton Bay Road Warrow---Cummins Road

Supt. Railways Port Lincoln. Letter received stating work at the Crossing near Coomunga will shortly be finished. The placing of pipes across road way south of running sheds at Cummins has been delayed awaiting material. It will shortly be completed.

A.E. Trestrail Letter received asking for road leading to section 22 Hd of Cummins to be grubbed

Cr Hall proposed Mr Trestrail be written to informing him the Overseer will inspect the road mentioned. E.F.G. Walsh Letter recieved enclosing signed tender for Contract No 130

W.E. Wagner Letter received, stating there are some bad crab holes on the road between Kaldow Siding, & Crossing south of Kaldow Siding. Also five chains rubble needed at corner of Kaldow Siding. Mr Wagner states he is prepared to do the work.

Cr Hall proposed that the Overseeer report by the next meeting.

Application for Loan for Fencing & Loan for Wire-netting received from Mrs N. Henderson. Resolved that Mrs Henderson's applications be sent to the government.

R. Correll Letter from Mr Correll asking Council to close a small portion of road between portion of Block 77 part Lot 56 & section 216 Hd Lincoln.

Retirement of Councillors & Auditor Clerk stated that Cr W.G. Morgan, Warrow Ward, & O.A. Hall, Mortlock ward, & O. Blackman, auditor, retire by effluxion of time.

Returning officer Moved by Cr Simes that E.H. Beckwith be appointed returning officer for the forthcoming elections at the usual fees. 2nd Cr Hall.
